“Faithful Hound”
I was parked in a mall when I saw this scene. My car was facing this truck. Inside was a dog waiting faithfully for his master. I knew I had a sensitive picture here . I got into a position to make the composition you see here and then I waited until the posturing of the dog was just right.
What does this picture have to do with my symphony No. 5 ?
This will give you something that you will recall looking at while you are listening to my symphony. My symphony’s do not have rigid tempo nor continuous music. I compose music utilizing an array of electronic feedback sounds. In 2003 – 2004 my studio Hi Fi components wiring was so screwed up that weird electronic feedback sounds were coming through. I decided to leave it all alone for a while because I was fascinated by the way I was able to make all kinds of sounds when I had all my instruments on and running. I could make all kinds of hi and low sounds and tremolo effects together with reverberating echo sounds. I claim that I am getting a sort of spiritual presence in my electronic feedback sound recordings once I am in a sort of mediumistic mindset. You have to read the text page for each symphony to understand this better. I made a recording to represent each symphony I created on an old reel to reel tape deck. I love pauses in my music. You will notice this while listening. There will be sudden sounds that are quit eerie. Also, there will be some great tempo thumps and amazingly high treble sounds, especially when the infant presence in this symphony is being born. This particular baby is here to kick butt it seems. The symphony ends with a military dirge that is very stirring.
My symphony in four movements top to bottom.
