Barbara Beckwith portraits of Aliens – Art sale at Ginofor Gallery

24 Feb

Aunt Barbs scary gray Signed (36 x 24)

Alien portrait no. 1

I have three Alien portraits to view here.  These are large art by Barbara Beckwith.  Barbara claimed to have been visited by Aliens in here life.  This one, portrait No.1, is 36 x 24 inches.  These are from the estate of Barbara Beckwith.  Barbara died in 2013 at the age of 90.  I have seven files of Alien portraits.  Barbara Beckwith’s nephew, Peter Pasternak, is handling her estate.

We do not know what to do with Barbara’s art exactly.  I am told that I can act as a broker.  In these modern times things in someone’s estate can be sold at auction real fast or in the case of a person’s art, they can be just thrown out !   Barbara did very charming portraits of people and abstract landscapes with alien faces and vessels in them.  In my recent blog, you can see a view of my gallery with two Barbara Beckwith abstract paintings showing.  The two paintings are not signed.  The Alien portraits are signed.  I think the Alien portraits can be sold as one lot, so to speak. Someone can make an offer for a set of these three !  I can them relate the offer to peter and we would take it from there.

The portrait above shows an Alien that is a rather stern looking, to say the least.  Hah !  You do not want to mess with this one.  You will find yourself in cat anomic (spelling?) state suddenly.  This is what they do.  OK who says they even exist ?

Anyway, I have two more to view here.  Make an offer !

George Forss Symphony No. 5 Why was I born ?

“Faithful Hound”

I was parked in a mall when I saw this scene.  My car was facing this truck.  Inside was a dog waiting faithfully for his master. I knew I had a sensitive picture here . I got into a position to make the composition you see here and then I waited until the posturing of the dog was just right.

What does this picture have to do with my symphony No. 5 ?

This will give you something that you will recall looking at while you are listening to my symphony.  My symphony’s do not have rigid tempo nor continuous music.  I compose music utilizing an array of electronic feedback sounds.  In 2003 – 2004 my studio Hi Fi components wiring was so screwed up that weird electronic feedback sounds were coming through.  I decided to leave it all alone for a while because I was fascinated by the way I was able to make all kinds of sounds when I had all my instruments on and running.  I could make all kinds of hi and low sounds and tremolo effects together with reverberating echo sounds.  I claim that I am getting a sort of spiritual presence in my electronic feedback sound recordings once I am in a sort of  mediumistic mindset.  You have to read the text page for each symphony to understand this better.  I made a recording to represent each symphony I created on an old reel to reel tape deck.  I love pauses in my music.  You will notice this while listening.  There will be sudden sounds that are quit eerie. Also, there will be some great tempo thumps and amazingly high treble sounds, especially when the infant presence in this symphony is being born.  This particular baby is here to kick butt it seems. The symphony ends with a military dirge that is very stirring.

My symphony in four movements top to bottom.

Here are the D jacket and text …

One more Mall scene !  This is my lady mate pushing a red shopping cart in …”Donna in mall ma ma land”.  This is what I call this picture.  This is four pictures stitched together.  My digital prints sell for $35. for 8 1/2 x 11 100% rag and $65. for 11 x14. This stitched picture I can make about 8 x 20 for $65.  Add $15. for shipping.

G Forss View of Gallery TV's and Art

A view of my Gallery with large TV displays

If it looks to you like I have three large TV’s in place, you are right.  I have three TV’s going when I run a movie event at my George Forss  Theater of the Arts.  I have an event every Saturday around 2:30 pm.  I have two old rear projection TV’s and a Flat Screen TV.  I feature classic movies. art instruction videos, my own art films, live opera from the radio, and anyone ‘s request for a small group event. I can seat 8 people in comfort.  I have a big couch I call my green cloud plus 2 classic office chairs that swivel and tilt, and a big momma arm chair that  I think Sophie Tucker sat in and two other chairs and a cushioned stool.  Movies and such shown in the setup I have are richer than super HD theaters.

I would not want three large HD TV’s here.  It would be too much.

I want to sell more art.  So, I decided to sell most of my art at a make an offer price.  I will state a price and then we can negotiate.  I cannot sell the professional artist I represent for too little but I happen to have three George Van Hook art at half price.  I have Harry Orlyk at the same price he has had for years.  I remember that he was going to double his prices  (he is doing very well) but he has not.  The two abstracts you see in the above picture were just placed in my gallery.  This is art from the estate of Barbara Beckwith from Vermont.  These are not signed, still these are fun art that will cheer up your home.  Art is what you want in your home. Art makes you glad you are alive !   Barbara died recently at age 90.
