I am happy that I found a way to do portriats the way my mom did. I cannot pose people the way she did but I have my own techqnique. I am using an old roll film camera, a Ziess Icon folding camera that makes the same size negative that my mother used to get with ther Box cameras.
I recently set up my camera to photograph some friends at a birthday party. I have a twenty foot extension shutter release with a squeezable bulb my camera, on a tripod, so I can make my exposure without having the camera in my hands. This works for me and I fanatasize that the picture will take itself. It does seem as though the shutter will go off suddenly by itself. Is like water witching. I’ll put a few of Mom’s portraits here with my birthday picture.
I sell my mom’s portraits printed on digital 330g fiber base paper. How about an 11x 14 print for $45. Send a few dollars for shipping or you can pick up your print at my gallery in Cambridge, NY ph 518 677-3288 email@example.com
Nancy Krauss is running an art show this weekend at her gallery. You have to see this show. Nancy is an art lover who has the most beautiful property around Cambridge, NY. I think she is going to contunue to have art shows at her gallery after this one.
The show is called … “Pairs” Nancy has a lot of art to suite this title … she has painters … David Hatfield is one. I am in this with my photography of the most unusual kind. A genuine ‘Spiritual Portrait’ as I like to describe a picture I take with a 1937 Zeiss Icon that has remakably good quality. Ron Favata is here with sculptures that comply to a film I did about his work entitled “Can you do something like this ?” This will be running during the show.
You have to see this. I put the gunslinger here. Maiga Linnolt art is here. Steve Burgess art is also something that no one can emulate, copy, acquire the technique etc. Burgess lanscapes are perfectly real and timeless and yet they exist only in his mind (on his canvas).
Come to this show this weekend ! On Sunday, August 18 there will be a meet the artists reception from 6 to 8pm.
The Copper Trout Gallery is on route 313 nearby to Cambridge. It is near Route 61 and the Battenkill River tubing and canoe place. You will see Nancy’s signs.
I have a new triptych that I made using three of Donna Wynbrandt’s art works. The three together fall under the same title that is drawn on one the the three … “Who’s the Healthiest ?”
This triptych was also made extra jazzy when I did some computer enhancement of it.
A very philosophical question is posed here, like … Who’s the Healthiest, humanity or nature ? In nature, in a perfectly natural setting, everything is healthy according to a natural progression of a birth to death process. What am I talking about ?
Never mind. Take a look at these. I have two versions here. Before and after. I sold two of the first triptych I did with Donna’s art about a new world religion being started after a man’s penis falls off when he is doing chin ups on a bar. Scroll down my past blogs to see this one.
This one (either version) is for sale at $65. 11×14 size printed on 330 g fiber base digital paper.
